Ruth Elphick

Doctor of Chiropractic, Founder

BSc (Hons) CCEP

Ruth graduated with honours from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic in 2004. Since this time, she has been working in private clinics throughout the area of south west London and Surrey and has built up an excellent reputation within the communities of these clinics, thanks to her success in the treatment of a wide spectrum of patients from children and pregnant women to athletes and the elderly.

During her professional career, she has developed her interests and trained further in dry needling, rehabilitation, pregnancy and paediatrics, IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation), kinesiology taping and is a qualified CCEP (Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner). The extremity work is particularly important when treating sports injuries.

Her history in professional dance gives her a unique foundation to help understand the stresses put on the body by such strenuous physical activities. In 2006, Ruth established her clinic in Weybridge, and in 2015, has expanded with a clinic in St Margaret’s, where she has built a team of like-minded professionals providing the best quality care in musculoskeletal health for the community. The techniques that Ruth uses will vary depending on the requirements of the individual.

Techniques may include diversified adjusting, mobilisation, extremity-specific adjustments, cranial therapy, trigger point therapy, scar tissue treatment, dry needling, exercise and rehabilitation, active and passive releases, fascial unwinding, IASTM and taping. Ruth is registered with the GCC and is a member of the British Chiropractic Association, the Council on Extremity Adjusting and the International Chiropractic Association Council on Chiropractic Paediatrics.

Ruth is recognised by BUPA, AXA PPP, HSA and most other UK and international insurers.
